NFL Week 14 Schedule

The 49ers appeared to be in some trouble when they went a month between victories and lost 3 in a row, but they are healthy now and playing sensational football. NFL WEEK 14 PICKS AGAINST THE SPREAD AND PREDICTIONS

Take a look at all of our picks and predictions for every NFL matchup. We cover all Week 14 games with our expert analysis and determine the best NFL Week 14 picks.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Spread: Pitt. -6

O-U: 32.5

Moneyline: Pitt. -230, NE +190

The Patriots have fallen badly this season and their descent shows no signs of ending. The Mac Jones era has been disastrous and Bailey Zappe was unable to drive the Patriots offense in their Week 13 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Bill Belichick could be in his final weeks as head coach of the Patriots, and that’s difficult to comprehend.

The Steelers appeared to be moving in the right direction when they found their offense against the Bengals, but Kenny Pickett suffered an ankle injury vs. the Arizona Cardinals and is likely to miss 2 games or more. The Steelers dropped a game they should have won easily, and it raises questions on how their offense will perform throughout the rest of the season. They should be able to handle this game against the struggling Patriots, but the remaining games on the schedule could be a major challenge for Mike Tomlin’s team.

Prediction: Pittsburgh, Straight up and ATS

LOS ANGELES RAMS at BALTIMORE RAVENS

Spread: Balt. -7.5

O-U: 44.5

Moneyline: Balt. -350, LAR +280

The Rams are surging right now, having won 3 straight games and they have thrown themselves back in NFC playoff contention. Matthew Stafford is healthy again, and he is capable of leading a balanced offense that includes running back Kyren Williams and record-setting rookie wideout Puka Nacua.

However, beating the Ravens on the road will require an even greater effort, and Aaron Donald will have to be at his best to slow down Lamar Jackson and rookie wideout Zay Flowers. Baltimore overpowered NFC opponents Detroit and Seattle at home, and the same could happen to the Rams in this game

Prediction: Baltimore, Straight up and ATS

CAROLINA PANTHERS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Spread: NO -5.5

O-U: 38

Moneyline: NO -255, Car. +210

The Panthers have failed to make progress this season even though they had the No. 1 draft pick last spring. Bryce Young is not ready to win in the NFL, and he has struggled to understand how defenses have tried to attack him. In addition to his own issues, the Panthers have not surrounded him with the talent needed to be successful.

The Saints were not prepared in Week 13 against the Lions as they gave up 3 first-quarter touchdowns before the alarm clock went off. Quarterback Derek Carr suffered head and shoulder injuries against Detroit, and his status has yet to be determined. The Saints should be able to survive this game, but it could be an ugly victory.

Prediction: New Orleans, Straight up and ATS

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at CINCINNATI BENGALS

Spread: Ind. -3

O-U: 40.5

Moneyline: Ind. -146, Cin. +124

The Bengals pulled off one of the gutsiest wins of the year when they went to Jacksonville and pulled off a 34-31 overtime victory with backup quarterback Jake Browning leading the way. The Bengals’ season appeared over when Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury, but Browning was sensational in completing 32 of 37 passes for 354 yards and a touchdown.

The win allowed the Bengals to get back to the .500 mark, and they have a chance to fight for a playoff spot, as do the Colts with Gardner Minshew at quarterback. Ja’Marr Chase is a game breaker for Cincinnati, while running back Zack Moss will try to give the Colts a credible ground game.

Prediction: Cincinnati, Straight up and ATS

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at CLEVELAND BROWNS

Spread: Jax. -3

O-U: 38

Moneyline: Jax. -148, Cle. +126

The Jaguars had a shot to move into the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff race with a victory over the Bengals in Week 13. Not only did they fall short, but they also lost star quarterback Trevor Lawrence to what appeared to be a serious ankle injury. If he can’t play in this game against the Browns, it will be difficult for the Jaguars against a defensively sound Cleveland team and then against the Ravens in Week 15.

Backup C.J. Beathard will have to be sharp and he will need help from the Jacksonville defense and star pass rusher Josh Allen. The Browns received a solid effort from Joe Flacco in their Week 13 loss to the Rams, and he needs to build off that performance.

Prediction: Cleveland, Straight up and ATS

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at ATLANTA FALCONS

Spread: TB -2.5

O-U: 39

Moneyline: Atl. -136, TB +116

The Falcons were able to get back into the win column against the punchless New York Jets, but it may be difficult to beat an opponent that has a semblance of an offensive attack. It’s debatable as to whether the Bucs qualify in that category, but Baker Mayfield is a far better quarterback than anything the Jets had to offer.

As a result, the Atlanta defense will have to make a few plays if they are going to make it back-to-back victories. Desmond Ridder can escape the rush, but the key for the Falcons is rookie running back Bijan Robinson (756 yards, 4.8 yards per carry). If he can pierce the Tampa Bay defense – 27th in yards allowed per game – the Falcons should have a good chance to win

Prediction: Atlanta, Straight up and ATS

DETROIT LIONS at CHICAGO BEARS

Spread: Det. -4

O-U: 45

Moneyline: Det. -196, Chi. +164

After suffering a painful loss at home to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day and performing poorly the week before in a narrow win over the Bears, the Lions bounced back to solid form in their 33-28 road win over the Saints. Jared Goff threw for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns, and the offense avoided turnovers. If the Lions can repeat that performance in Chicago, they should have an excellent chance of sweeping the season series against their ancient rivals.

The Bears have picked up their defensive play and have become one of the toughest teams in the league to run against. However, the Lions have a diverse offense, and the Bears may not be able to contend with Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown and tight end Sam LaPorta. The Lions should dictate the pace of the game.

Prediction: Detroit, Straight up and ATS

HOUSTON TEXANS at NEW YORK JETS

Spread: Hou. -6

O-U: 36.5

Moneyline: Hou. -260, NY +215

The Texans are not only one of the best stories in the NFL this year, their performance has to be the cause of much pain for the Jets. Houston was arguably the worst team in the NFL a year ago, but now they are a winning team with legitimate playoff aspirations because of the presence of first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans and a pair of rookies in QB C.J. Stroud (20 TD passes) and rookie defensive end Will Anderson Jr. (5.0 sacks).

While the Texans are thriving, the Jets have a diminished offense that simply can’t compete against decent NFL teams – even though they were expected to compete for a playoff spot. The Jets have a solid defense, but the Zach Wilson-Tim Boyle-Trevor Siemian trio at quarterback is a major deficiency.

Prediction: Houston, Straight up and ATS

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Spread: SF -12.5

O-U: 45.5

Moneyline: SF -750, Sea. +530

The Seahawks have fallen dramatically and are in the midst of a 3-game losing streak. A playoff spot that seemed fairly certain weeks ago is now in doubt. A brutal schedule makes it even more difficult for a team that is competing with an injured quarterback in Geno Smith and is without speedy running back Kenneth Walker III (oblique).

The Niners are in peak form after blowing out the Eagles on their homefield. Does any team have a better QB-RB-WR situation than San Francisco has with Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel? The Niners defense features DT Javon Hargrave, who can wreck the pocket and destroy the running game.

Prediction: SF, Straight up and ATS.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS at LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Spread: Minn. -1.5

O-U: 40.5

Moneyline: Minn. -134, LV +114

The Vikings return from their bye week after consecutive painful losses to the Broncos and Bills. They can still return to the playoffs, but they must limit turnovers. Josh Dobbs is the likely starter once again, but head coach Kevin O’Connell could pull him if he continues to give the ball away (9 turnovers in 4 games with Minnesota).

On the positive side, Justin Jefferson will return to the lineup and pass rusher Danielle Hunter could wreck the Las Vegas game plan. Aidan O’Connell gives the Raiders a fighting chance at quarterback, and the team is playing much harder under interim head coach Antonio Pierce. Maxx Crosby is capable of diminishing the Vikings offensive game plan.

Prediction: Minnesota, Straight up and ATS

BUFFALO BILLS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Spread: KC -3

O-U: 48

Moneyline: KC -155, Buff. +130

The Bills are fighting to keep their season alive, but their schedule is brutal and head coach Sean McDermott’s team seems to make too many mistakes to keep up with elite opponents. There is no denying how gifted quarterback Josh Allen is, but he continues to take too many risks and that’s why the Bills are just a .500 team at this point in the season.

The Chiefs have had their share of problems this season as well, and they no longer appear to be an offensive juggernaut. The WR crew is a step down from past years, and tight end Travis Kelce is the only truly dynamic receiver that Patrick Mahomes has at this point. If it wasn’t for Chris Jones and the defense, the Chiefs might not be a first-place team in the AFC West..

Prediction: KC, Straight up and ATS

DENVER BRONCOS at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

Spread: LAC -3

O-U: 44.5

Moneyline: LAC -142, Den.. +120

The Broncos saw their 5-game winning streak come to an end against the upstart Texans, but head coach Sean Payton and quarterback Russelll Wilson deserve credit for this team’s remarkable turnaround. One of the primary reasons for Denver’s climb this season is the emergence of big-play wideout Courtland Sutton, who has caught 50-637-9 and tends to come through at the biggest moments.

The Chargers are one of the most disappointing teams in football despite the presence of talented QB Justin Herbert. He has a brilliant weapon in Keenan Allen, but head coach Brandon Staley is in over his head and makes too many bone-headed decisions.

Prediction: Denver, Straight up and ATS

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES at DALLAS COWBOYS

Spread: Dall. -3

O-U: 51.5

Moneyline: Dall. -178, Phil. +150

The Eagles met their match in Week 13 as the 49ers marched into Lincoln Financial Field and delivered a 42-19 beating. Any other team might question itself after that kind of loss, but the Eagles have maturity and confidence, and they are not about to lose faith in themselves. However, Nick Sirianni’s team is not fully healthy, and taking on the Cowboys in Dallas will be a huge assignment.

The Cowboys have dominated at home, and Dak Prescott would like to get a bit of revenge after losing a close game earlier in the year at Philadelphia. The Eagles may have a difficult time contending with wideout CeeDee Lamb and destructive linebacker Micah Parsons.

Prediction: Dallas, Straight up and ATS

TENNESSEE TITANS at MIAMI DOLPHINS

Spread: Mia. -13

O-U: 46.5

Moneyline: Mia. -800, Tenn. +560

The Dolphins simply have too much firepower for the Titans in this prime time game. If Tua Tagovailoa can dictate the pace with a couple of big plays early in the game to explosive wideout Tyreek Hill, it will be hard for Tennessee to keep up.

The only hope for the Titans is for power running back Derrick Henry to rush for 125 yards and drain time off the clock. Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (828 yards, 5.1 ypc, 14 TDs) can also do quite a bit of damage with his ability to put the ball in the end zone.

Prediction: Miami, Straight Up and ATS

GREEN BAY PACKERS AT NEW YORK GIANTS

Spread: GB -6

O-U: 38

Moneyline: GB -250, NYG +205

There’s no such thing as an easy game in the NFL, and it’s important to keep that in mind. The Packers are surging, having beaten the Chargers, Lions and Chiefs in their last 3 games. Jordan Love has grown into the job, having thrown 8 TD passes and no interceptions during that winning streak.

The Green Bay defense ranks 18th in yards allowed per game, and that should be good enough to shut down a New York offense that ranks dead last in yards per game (258.7) and 31st in scoring (13.3 ppg). Third-string QB Tommy DeVito would appear to be in over his head, but it may not be easy for Green Bay to win on the road on Monday night.

Prediction: GB, Straight Up; NYG, ATS

WEEK 14 NFL PICKS & BEST BETS

NFL PICKS AGAINST THE SPREAD: BEST BETS FOR WEEK 14 OF THE NFL

  1. At Baltimore -7.5 over L.A. Rams – The Rams are playing sensational football and they have won 3 games in a row to put themselves in a spot where they can fight for a playoff spot. However, the Ravens have dominated at home against NFC teams – Seattle and Detroit – and that should continue against Matthew Stafford and the Rams.
  2. Houston -6 over at N.Y. Jets  – The Texans have had a remarkable season with C.J. Stroud at quarterback and head coach DeMeco Ryans leading the team. The Texans have shown they can attack through the air, while the Jets passing offense has been brutal. If the Texans can score 2 touchdowns, they should win this game with little trouble.
  3. At San Francisco -12.5 over Seattle  – After rolling over the Eagles in their most important game of the season, one might think the Niners would have a letdown here. Not a chance against their division rivals. The 49ers have too many weapons in Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle, and they should remain on a serious roll.
