WEEK 12 NFL PICKS FOR EVERY GAME

Why are the Eagles the favorites to get back to the Super Bowl? Because head coach Nick Sirianni has a team of professionals that can beat the Chiefs on the road on Monday night and retain their focus against the Buffalo Bills. The Broncos are surging with 4 straight wins, but they will be tested by Cleveland’s hard-hitting defense.

NFL WEEK 12 PICKS AGAINST THE SPREAD AND PREDICTIONS

Take a look at all of our picks and predictions for every NFL matchup. We cover all Week 12 games with our expert analysis and determine the best NFL Week 12 picks.

GREEN BAY PACKERS at DETROIT LIONS

Spread: Det. -7.5

O-U: 45.5

Moneyline: Det. -375, GB +300

The Lions have risen to the top of the NFC North and they have demonstrated the ability to come through when the game is on the line in the 4th quarter. That led to victories over the Chargers and the Bears the past 2 weeks. Jared Goff is an accurate passer and a confident leader. He has a go-to receiver in Amon-Ra St. Brown who should be able to get the best of the Green Bay defense.

Jordan Love will try to lead the Packers to their second straight victory, but accuracy and consistency are not his strong points. The Lions had been also-rans for years, but they may be competing with the Eagles and 49ers for NFC superiority in the upcoming postseason

Prediction: Detroit, Straight up; Green Bay, ATS.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS at DALLAS COWBOYS

Spread: Dall. -10.5

O-U: 47.5

Moneyline: Dall. -590, Wash. +440

The Commanders showed some signs early in the season that they might be able to compete for a playoff spot, but after winning the first 2 games of the season, they have only won 2 more since then. Sam Howell simply turns the ball over too often. After losing to the Giants twice this season, it appears that head coach Ron Rivera is on his last legs.

A victory over the Cowboys is very unlikely – the Cowboys have too much talent with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb – but it could help Rivera make a statement in his final weeks as head coach.

Prediction: Dallas, Straight up and ATS

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Spread: sf -6.5

O-U: 43.5

Moneyline: SF -295, Sea. +240

The 49ers are back in top form after registering their second consecutive victory. They simply have too many weapons to defend at this point, starting with Brock Purdy, who was sensational in the win over Tampa Bay by passing for 333 yards and 3 TDs. Christian McCaffrey is probably the best running back in the league, and Deebo Samuel is a symbol of the team’s toughness.

The Seahawks blew an opportunity to stay in lock step with the Niners by losing to the Rams, and Geno Smith is not expected to have running back Kenneth Walker III (oblique) in this game. If the Niners can slow down wideout DK Metcalf, they should be able to win this key NFC West game.

Prediction: San Francisco, Straight up and ATS

MIAMI DOLPHINS at NY JETS

Spread: Miami -7.5

O-U: 41.5

Moneyline: Miami -375, NYJ +310

The Dolphins have an edge in speed over nearly every opponent, and that was certainly the case against the Raiders. While the Dolphins won the game, it seemed like quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the offense should have been able to do more than score 20 points.

The Dolphins have a big edge on the Jets in terms of offensive talent – the Jets benched quarterback Zach Wilson – and the combination of wideout Tyreek Hill and running back Raheem Mostert should be enough to allow the Dolphins to secure the road victory.

Prediction: Miami, Straight up and ATS

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at NY GIANTS

Spread: NE -3.5

O-U: 34

Moneyline: NE -178, NYG +150

The Giants secured a much-needed and unexpected victory over the Washington Commanders largely because the defense produced 6 takeaways. That’s basically what it will take for the Giants to win games from this point forward, because Tommy DeVito is not likely to match the 3-TD effort he had against Washington. That is also the case for New England quarterback Mac Jones, and it would not be a shock if Bailey Zappe replaces him going forward.

New England has a well-rounded defense and that should give the Pats an edge in this game. The Giants need linebacker Bobby Okereke (14 tackles) and safety Xavier McKinney (12 tackles) to have monster games, as they did against Washington.

Prediction: New England, Straight up and ATS

PITTSBURGH STEELERS at CINCINNATI BENGALS

Spread: Cin. -1.5

O-U: 34.5

Moneyline: Cin. -108, Pitt. -108

The Steelers nearly found a way to beat the Browns on the road despite a lack of offensive production once again. Quarterback Kenny Pickett usually finds a way to get the job done in the 4th quarter even when the offense is struggling, but he could not get the job done against the Browns’ powerful defense.

The Bengals took a huge body blow when they lost quarterback Joe Burrow to a season-ending wrist injury. Inexperienced Jake Browning will attempt to keep the Bengals on track, but he lacks the chemistry with wideouts Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd to be consistently successful. If the Bengals defense does exceed expectations down the stretch, Cincinnati will not be a playoff team

Prediction: Cincinnati, Straight up and ATS

CAROLINA PANTHERS at TENNESSEE TITANS

Spread: Tenn.. -4

O-U: 37.5

Moneyline: Tenn. -200, Car. +168

It’s tough to have confidence in either one of these teams because both have suffered through painful and losing campaigns. Both teams are starting rookie quarterbacks, and Tennessee rookie Will Levis would seem to be under far less pressure than Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick in last spring’s draft.

Young has struggled badly with his execution and decision making. Derrick Henry remains Tennessee’s top threat, but opponents key on him and it’s difficult for him to break free. Carolina linebacker Frankie Luvu is a tackling machine with 81 stops and 3.5 sacks.

Prediction: Tennessee, Straight up and ATS

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at HOUSTON TEXANS

Spread: Jax. -1.5

O-U: 46

Moneyline: Jax. -116, Hou. +102

The Jaguars are one of those teams that are almost always off the radar, but they are a solid team that is on track to win the AFC South. Jacksonville has a well-rounded offense with Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne, and the defense is manned by underrated players like linebacker Devin Lloyd (11 tackles vs. Titans).

The Texans are the biggest surprise in the NFL this season as rookie C.J. Stroud has already established himself as a quarterback who can win games. Stroud has two dynamic receivers in Tank Dell and Nico Collins, and the Texans find a way to win games in the final moments.

Prediction: Houston, Straight up and ATS

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS at ATLANTA FALCONS

Spread: Atl -1.5

O-U: 41.5

Moneyline: Atl. -110, NO -106

These traditional rivals are once again in a battle for NFC South superiority, and while the Saints have a 1-game lead going into this game, the Falcons can get the edge on the head-to-head matchup if they can win this game. These 2 teams have quite a bit to offer at the running back position, as Alvin Kamara can still get the job done for the Saints, while rookie Bijan Robinson has special skills for the Falcons.

The Saints have the edge at wide receiver where Chrs Olave is capable of making the highlight film type of catch. If the Saints can get their ground game going, the Falcons defense could start to wear down in the final quarter.

Prediction: New Orleans, Straight up and ATS.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Spread: Ind. -1.5

O-U: 43

Moneyline: Ind. -126, TB +108

After a sharp start that saw the Bucs win 3 of their first 4 games, the Bucs have lost 4 of 5 and must turn it around here if they want to make a run at the NFC South. They should be able to do it, as they are coming off a game against the robust 49ers and should find it much easier to conduct business against the Colts.Baker Mayfield has thrown for 2,389 yards with an impressive 15-6 TD-interception ratio.

The Colts may not be able to stop wideout Mike Evans. The Colts won 2 in a row before their bye week, and backup QB Gardner Minshew can read defense and is an accurate passer. Linebacker Zaire Franklin is a hard-hitting tackler with 117 stops, while defensive back Kenny Moore has 3 interceptions and has returned 2 of them for TDs.

Prediction: Tampa Bay, Straight up and ATS

LOS ANGELES RAMS at ARIZONA CARDINALS

Spread: Ariz. -1.5

O-U: 46

Moneyline: Ariz. -116, +102

The Rams battled for 60 minutes and defeated the Seahawks, sweeping the season series against a more talented opponent. Head coach Sean McVay has his team playing hard and the return of QB Matthew Stafford gives this team an edge when the game is on the line in the 4th quarter.

The Cardinals are a different team at this moment,as Kyler Murray’s athleticism at quarterback makes this a very difficult team to defend. The Rams need Aaron Donald to be at his best if the Rams are going to keep Murray in check.

Prediction: Arizona, Straight up and ATS

CLEVELAND BROWNS at DENVER BRONCOS

Spread: Den. -1.5

O-U: 36

Moneyline: Den. -112, Cle. -104

Sean Payton deserves a ton of credit for turning this team around. Many observers had written of the Broncos after they gave up 70 points to the Dolphins in Week 3, but they have become one of the most competitive and hard-hitting defensive teams. They turned up their physicality in Week 11 vs. Minnesota and came away with a well-earned victory. However, they are not going to be able to out-physical the Browns.

They have the best defensive player in the league in defensive end Myles Garrett, and he is capable of dominating any game. Cleveland rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is a great athlete, but he does not have poise or accuracy at this point.

Prediction: Denver, Straight up and ATS

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS at LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Spread: KC -9

O-U: 44.5

Moneyline: KC -420, LV +330

The Chiefs may be the defending Super Bowl champions, but they don’t appear to be the dominating team they have been in the past. In particular, they are lacking badly at the WR position. In their Week 11 Monday night loss to the Eagles, wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling dropped a perfectly thrown pass from Patrick Mahomes that should have been the game-winning touchdown.

However, the Chiefs have more than enough to handle the Raiders. Head coach Antonio Pierce has been able to get his team to play hard, but rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell is still learning and he is not a playmaker at this point.

Prediction: Kansas City, Straight Up; Las Vegas, ATS

BUFFALO BILLS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Spread: Phil. -3.5

O-U: 47.5

Moneyline: Phil. -174, Buff. +148

The Bills are one of the NFL’s mystery teams because they have significant talent throughout their lineup, yet they make far too many mistakes. Quarterback Josh Allen may be the most talented of them all, but he is reckless with some of his throws and leads the league in interceptions with 12. Allen and wideout Stefon Diggs have a solid rapport, but so does Eagle quarterback Jalen Hurts with A.J. Brown.

That combination has been unstoppable to this point in the season and it’s not going to change here. The Eagles have the best offensive line in the NFL, and the defensive front is nearly as good. It will take the Bills best effort of the season to pull off the upset.

Prediction: Philadelphia, Straight Up and ATS

BALTIMORE RAVENS at LA CHARGERS

Spread: Balt. -4

O-U: 45.5

Moneyline: Balt. -188, LAC +158

The Ravens rebounded from a painful loss to the Browns to take down the Bengals. John Harbaugh’s team remains in first place in the AFC North and they are in the battle for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Lamar Jackson remains a dangerous quarterback, and he can beat opponents with his arm or legs.

He should find the Chargers defense much to his liking, although the loss of tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) is a problem the Ravens will have to overcome. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen have formed an outstanding partnership, but the Chargers don’t respond to head coach Brandon Staley.

Prediction: Baltimore, Straight Up and ATS

CHICAGO BEARS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Spread: Minn. -3.5

O-U: 45

Moneyline: Minn. -174, Chi. +146

The Bears played extremely well in Week 11 against the Lions for 56 minutes, but that wasn’t good enough to secure a victory. When the game was on the line, they could not hold onto a 12-point lead and they suffered yet another defeat to a divisional opponent. Justin Fields was sharp in his return from a thumb injury and newcomer Montez Sweat gives the defense credibility.

The Vikings played fairly well on the road in their late loss to the Broncos, but they could not sustain the success in the 4th quarter. Newcomer Josh Dobbs continues to make plays. If the Vikings can avoid turnovers – they had 3 against Denver – they should be able to get back on the winning track at home against a team that does not know how to close out games.

Prediction: Minnesota , Straight Up and ATS

WEEK 12 NFL PICKS & BEST BETS

NFL PICKS AGAINST THE SPREAD: BEST BETS FOR WEEK 12 OF THE NFL

  1. Tampa Bay -1.5 over at Indianapolis– The Buccaneers have been struggling, but they are stepping down in class and playing in a must-win game. Look for Baker Mayfield to get the jump on the Colts and put this game away in the second half. The Bucs can get back in the NFC South race with a win here.
  2. At Philadelphia -3.5 over Buffalo  – The Eagles pulled off a dramatic road win over the Chiefs on Monday night, but don’t expect Jalen Hurts & Co. to overlook the Bills. While Buffalo has been a disappointing team this season, the Bills have excellent individual talent. Look for the Eagles defense to force Bills QB Josh Allen into multiple mistakes.
  3. Baltimore -4 over at Los Angeles Chargers  – The Ravens know how to win and the Chargers know how to lose. It may not be quite that simple, but the Ravens have the ability to make big plays against the Los Angeles defense. While the Chargers have big-name players like Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler, they simply fall short when the game is on the line. Brandon Staley is not an effective head coach.
