Jordan Poole Biography Details, Age, Net Worth, and Basketball Career

Jordan Poole is a professional basketball player who plays shooting guard for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. Poole is in his rookie season and is best known for his time in college basketball, which he spent with the Michigan Wolverines.

Jordan Poole Basketball Career

High School Career (La Lumiere School)

Poole started his basketball career at Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was there that he started being recruited by many elite college basketball programs, including the Memphis Tigers and Michigan Wolverines.

In 2016, Poole transferred to La Lumiere School in Indiana, where he played nationally televised games on ESPN and experienced an environment closer to what he would when he was in college basketball. Poole, a top-100 prospect in high school, helped La Lumiere claim the 2017 Dick’s national championship over eventual pro R.J. Barrett and Montverde Academy in the title game.

College Career (Michigan)

Jordan Poole played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten and made an immediate impact in his first NCAA Tournament by sinking a memorable buzzer-beater against Houston in the second round. The shot was one of the most memorable three-pointers in recent college basketball history. He also buried the clinching free throws in the Final Four against Loyola-Chicago to seal a spot in the national title game. In his freshman season, the Wolverines made it all the way to the national championship game, where they lost to that year’s NCAA champions in Villanova.

Poole’s sophomore season didn’t quite top the excitement of his freshman campaign, but Poole did show improvement with increased playing time. He averaged over 12 points per game in his sophomore season and helped the Wolverines get back to the Sweet 16 for the second straight season. Michigan was eliminated by eventual runners up Texas Tech in the regional semifinal round.

After the loss, Poole announced that he would be taking his talents to the NBA and turning pro.

NBA Career

Jordan Poole was selected with the 28th overall draft pick of the 2019 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors. Despite losing Kevin Durant to free agency, being picked by the Warriors gave Poole the chance to play alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and D’Angelo Russell, as the Warriors look to earn their first title since moving back to San Francisco.

Poole’s rookie season saw him average 8.8 points per game in 57 games of NBA action. In December, he was assigned to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA G-League but was later recalled to the NBA club to finish out the year. Golden State did not make the playoffs, as injuries to Curry and Thompson were too much to overcome, with the Warriors finishing at the bottom of the league standings in a shortened season. While the Warriors hoped to be competing with the Lakers atop the Western Conference in Poole’s first season, they instead ended up competing with the New York Knicks in the draft lottery instead.

Jordan Poole Net Worth, Salary, Endorsements & Career Earnings

Jordan Poole signed a four year, $10 million deal with Golden State in 2019. The final two years of that contract are team options, giving the Warriors the choice as to whether or not they would like to keep Poole on the roster at the agreed-upon salary for those seasons.

Poole does not currently have any known endorsements or shoe deals on record.

Jordan Poole Personal Life

Jordan Poole is the son of Monet and Anthony Poole, and he was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Poole has one brother and one sister. He does not have any known relationship at this time and does not have any children at this stage in his NBA career.
