Zach Collins was born on November 19, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Standing at 6 feet 11 inches and weighing 250 pounds, Collins developed his skills at Bishop Gorman High School, where he was a key player in leading the team to four consecutive state championships. His impressive high school career earned him a spot at Gonzaga University, where he played a pivotal role in the Bulldogs' march to the NCAA Championship game during the 2016-2017 season.
