Guerschon Yabusele was born on December 17, 1995, in Dreux, France. Standing at 6 feet 8 inches and weighing 260 pounds, Yabusele began his professional basketball career in France before making the leap to the NBA. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics as the 16th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Before his NBA debut, Yabusele honed his skills with the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association, where he averaged 20.9 points and 9.4 rebounds per game in the 2016-17 season.
