Keita Bates-Diop was born on January 23, 1996, in Sacramento, California. Standing at 6 feet 8 inches and weighing 229 pounds, Bates-Diop's athletic journey began at University High School in Normal, Illinois, where he quickly gained recognition for his basketball prowess. He went on to play college basketball for Ohio State University, where he developed into a versatile forward known for his defensive capabilities and scoring ability.
