Landry Shamet was born on March 13, 1997, in Kansas City, Missouri. Standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, Shamet developed his basketball skills at Park Hill High School before playing college basketball at Wichita State. His performance at Wichita State, where he averaged 14.9 points and 5.2 assists per game in his sophomore year, caught the attention of NBA scouts.
