Alperen Sengün was born on July 25, 2002, in Giresun, Turkey. Standing at 6 feet 10 inches and weighing 243 pounds, Sengün began his professional basketball career in Turkey with Bandırma Kırmızı and later joined Beşiktaş. His impressive performances in the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) earned him the BSL MVP award in 2021, showcasing his potential as a dominant force in the paint.
Sengün is known for his versatile playing style, combining traditional post moves with modern perimeter skills. He's a proficient scorer in the low post, utilizing his footwork and strength to create opportunities.
