Furkan Korkmaz was born on July 24, 1997, in Istanbul, Turkey. Standing at 6 feet 7 inches and weighing 202 pounds, Korkmaz began his professional basketball journey with the Turkish team Anadolu Efes. His early career was marked by impressive performances in the Turkish Basketball Super League, which led to his selection by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft as the 26th overall pick.
