Tennessee sweepstakes casino operators are exiting before the state’s pending ban arrives. ClubWPT Gold ended real money play in Tennessee on May 6, 2026. A1 Development blocked Tennessee access to six sweepstakes brands. Tennessee lawmakers passed the sweeps ban bill on April 23, 2026.

Why Sweepstakes Brands Are Leaving Tennessee Now

ClubWPT Gold halted gold currency purchases in Tennessee on May 2, 2026. ClubWPT Gold ended Tennessee sweepstakes games offering real money prizes on May 6, 2026. ClubWPT Gold is the World Poker Tour’s online poker product. WPT’s notice states: “Customers located in Tennessee will no longer be able to access certain account features, including Chips gameplay.”

A1 Development blocked Tennessee access to all of its sweepstakes casino brands. The A1 Development brands include NoLimitCoins, Fortune Wheelz, Tao Fortune, FunzCity, Funrize, and Storm Rush. Tennessee players cannot log in, redeem prizes, or play across the A1 Development platforms. A1 Development is the latest sweepstakes operator to withdraw from Tennessee.

Global Poker reportedly received a cease-and-desist letter from the Tennessee attorney general’s office. Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti targeted nearly 40 sweepstakes operators with cease-and-desist letters in late 2025. Social sportsbooks Thrillzz, KicKr, and Rebet also exited Tennessee.

Tennessee lawmakers approved the sweepstakes ban bill on April 23, 2026 by a 69-17 House vote. The Tennessee bill targets “a virtual-currency, dual-currency, or multi-currency system,” per the bill text. The Tennessee bill places violations under the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act of 1977. The Tennessee bill now awaits the governor’s signature.
