Standing at 6'2" and weighing 220 pounds, Wright began his football journey at a young age, quickly making a name for himself in high school as a versatile athlete. His exceptional performance at Dallas High School earned him multiple scholarship offers from top NCAAF programs, eventually leading him to commit to the University of Texas.
Wright is known for his aggressive playing style and remarkable field vision. As a linebacker, his ability to read the opposing team's offense and anticipate plays sets him apart. He's particularly effective in pass coverage, with a knack for breaking up passes and forcing turnovers. His speed and agility allow him to cover ground quickly, making him a critical asset in both pass defense and run stopping.
In his sophomore year, Wright recorded 85 tackles, 5 sacks, and 3 interceptions, earning him a spot on the All-Conference First Team. His standout performances have not only solidified his reputation as a top defensive player in the NCAAF but also caught the attention of NFL scouts.
