Ben Spence was born on March 15, 2001, in Chicago, Illinois. Standing 6'7" and weighing 215 pounds, Spence developed his basketball skills at a young age, quickly becoming a standout player at Lincoln High School. His impressive performance in high school earned him a scholarship to play for the University of Illinois, where he joined the Fighting Illini in the NCAAB.
