Sam Roush was born on March 5, 2002, in Dallas, Texas. Standing at 6'4" and weighing 240 lbs, Roush began his football journey at Highland Park High School, where he quickly made a name for himself as a versatile tight end. His impressive high school stats, including 1,200 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in his senior year, earned him a four-star recruit rating and numerous scholarship offers from top college programs.
Roush is known for his exceptional route-running ability and strong hands, making him a reliable target in the passing game. His size and physicality allow him to excel in both blocking and receiving roles, providing his team with a dual-threat option at the tight end position. Roush's football IQ and ability to read defenses also set him apart, often allowing him to find soft spots in coverage and create mismatches against smaller defenders.
Since joining the NCAAF, Roush has been a consistent performer, contributing significantly to his team's offensive success. In his sophomore year, he recorded 700 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns, ranking among the top tight ends in the conference. His performance earned him All-Conference honors and placed him on the watchlist for the John Mackey Award, recognizing the nation's best collegiate tight end.
