Reed Lambert was born on March 15, 2001, in Dallas, Texas. Standing at 6'2" and weighing 210 pounds, Lambert began his football journey at Lincoln High School, where he quickly became a standout quarterback. His impressive arm strength and leadership on the field earned him a scholarship to play for the University of Texas, where he joined their NCAAF program.
Lambert is known for his exceptional decision-making skills and ability to read defenses, which sets him apart as a quarterback. Additionally, his agility allows him to extend plays and make crucial runs when necessary, adding a dual-threat dimension to his game.
During his sophomore season, Lambert led the Longhorns to a 10-2 record, throwing for over 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. He was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, highlighting his impact on the field. Lambert's performance in the 2022 Red River Showdown, where he threw for four touchdowns, remains one of his most memorable games.
