Joseph McGinnis II was born on March 15, 2002, in Birmingham, Alabama. Standing at 6'2" and weighing 210 lbs, McGinnis began his football journey at Central High School, where he quickly made a name for himself as a versatile player on both offense and defense. His high school performance earned him multiple scholarship offers, ultimately leading him to commit to a prominent NCAAF program.
McGinnis is known for his exceptional field vision and agility, making him a formidable presence on the field. He's particularly effective in reading defenses and making split-second decisions, which has helped him excel as a dual-threat quarterback. His ability to extend plays with his legs while maintaining accuracy in his throws sets him apart from many of his peers.
During his sophomore year in NCAAF, McGinnis led his team to a conference championship, throwing for over 3,000 yards and rushing for an additional 700. He was named to the All-Conference First Team and received the Offensive Player of the Year award, marking him as one of the standout players in college football.
