Duke Frye was born on March 15, 2002, in Birmingham, Alabama. Standing at 6'3" and weighing 225 pounds, Frye began his football journey in high school, where he quickly made a name for himself as a standout quarterback. His impressive performance at Central High School earned him a scholarship to play at the collegiate level, where he joined the ranks of the NCAAF.
