Trade Return Centers on Draft Capital

Dexter Lawrence has two seasons left on a four-year, $90 million contract. Lawrence’s $20 million salary ranks 10th among interior defensive linemen this season. The contract carries no remaining guaranteed money. The New York Giants hold team control on Lawrence for two more seasons.

The expected trade return sits between a late first-round pick in 2026 and a 2027 first. Teams could also offer a second and a fifth-round pick package. The New York Giants have engaged with teams about a Lawrence trade. Talks likely resolve before the draft opens on April 23.
