The 2026 Home Run Derby lands at Citizens Bank Park on Monday. Bryce Harper will swing for a second Derby title before his home Philadelphia crowd. All-Star Week in Philadelphia opens Friday, July 10.

Harper Chases A Second Derby Crown On Home Turf

The T-Mobile Home Run Derby starts at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, July 13. Netflix will stream the Derby live from Citizens Bank Park. The event marks Harper’s third career Derby appearance. Harper last entered in 2018 and won the crown that year. Harper beat now-teammate Kyle Schwarber in the 2018 final at Nationals Park.

Junior Caminero enters after finishing as the 2025 Derby runner-up. Caminero lost last year’s final to Cal Raleigh at Truist Park in Atlanta. Cardinals slugger Jordan Walker joined the field, hitting .294 with 21 home runs. Yankees rookie Ben Rice earned a spot as a first-time All-Star. Jac Caglianone and Willson Contreras round out the announced names. Walker enters at age 24 during a breakout season.

Harper won the 2018 Derby at his home park in Washington. Harper now brings the show to his current home in Philadelphia. Citizens Bank Park has never hosted the Home Run Derby before. The ballpark opened in 2004 and finally lands the event. Philadelphia will host the All-Star Game for the first time since then.

The All-Star Game follows on Tuesday, July 14, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. The 2026 edition marks the 96th All-Star Game in league history. A Derby win would give Harper a second title in the event. Harper also carries the weight of performing for the Phillies faithful. Fox will broadcast the All-Star Game in prime time nationally.

Philadelphia last hosted All-Star festivities decades ago at another ballpark. The 2026 event returns the spotlight to a passionate baseball market. Harper signed with the Phillies in 2019 on a 13-year contract. Harper has since become the face of the franchise. A Derby title at home would add to that Philadelphia legacy. Eight sluggers will compete in the Derby bracket.

MLB continues to round out the eight-player Derby bracket before July 13. All-Star Week events run from Friday through the Tuesday game. The schedule includes the Futures Game and the HBCU Swingman Classic. The Capital One All-Star Village also opens to fans during the week. First pitch for the All-Star Game is set for July 14. Netflix will carry Monday’s Derby to a global audience.
