Big defenseman who has improved his strength, quickness and confidence in his carries. He is an explosive straight line skater who wins most puck races with forwards and is elusive on retrievals to get away from a strong forecheck. Moves the puck well in his own end, and processes the situation quickly and finds outlets. He boxes out in his goal front and always takes away the attacker’s space. Sets up picks for his defensive partner, aiding his departure by slowing up his check. Has soft hands to handle pucks at his feet in the offensive zone, and walks down the wall and funnels pucks to the slot. Has seen little or no power play time to show his quarterbacking skills yet.
