Ben Meehan

Second year eligible defender crisp puck mover with a strong hockey IQ. His outstanding range as his top speed and ability to protect the puck, and find open passing lanes while in flight are advancements in his evaluations. His feet close gaps, skate pucks out of trouble ice, and his added confidence and patience to not rush his passes are newly added plusses. Even has fast stick to elude forecheckers and along with nice speed chase well in one on one defensive coverage. he effortlessly closes gaps with his quick feet at the high school level. A free wheeling puck mover who had a mid-season knee injury which stifled further viewings. He looked like a confident and dangerous each time he was viewed but the limited views this year may see him taken in the late 3rd or 4th or maybe even passes over! .Committed to UMass-Lowell.
