He attended Lake Highlands High School, where he excelled as a dual-threat quarterback, leading his team to multiple playoff appearances. His performance in high school earned him a scholarship to play for the University of Texas, where he's currently a key player in their NCAAF lineup.

He was named Offensive Player of the Week twice in the 2022 season.
