Yordys Valdes was born on November 16, 2001, in Havana, Cuba. Standing at 6 feet and weighing 160 pounds, Valdes began his baseball journey early, showcasing his talent in local leagues before catching the attention of MLB scouts. He signed with the Cleveland Guardians (formerly Indians) as an international free agent in 2019, quickly making a name for himself with his defensive skills at shortstop.
