The #1 selection in the 2024 QMJHL draft came out of the gate in the 2024-25 season with 7 goals /16 points in his first 11 games, equiped with a deadly wrist shot and snipers instincts. Hasn’t completely perfected his advanced offensive dimension, but the hands are sure there already. The light simply turned on. A French kid with size frame that played a good physical hockey game. A half of a season in his draft year, he looks a power forward who plays with pace and urgency. From checking forward to power forward makes his play is highly translatable for the pro game. He will have to continue to show the effort and pace that seems to have finally arrived and his ability to create more offense will determine his final draft slotting. His petal will have to stay floored and his quick receptions and quick release will have to lead to assists on goals. It is pretty clear from his U-18 games for Canada that he is a threat to score from anywhere near the home plate. It is our desire that he is consistently engaged on the attack, and using his reverse hit to open up working room, and giving full effort. He gets deep enough into his stride to manipulate the defenders, and can I have to say his best ice time is spent wisely winning races for puck retrievals, hounding defenseman on the back check, and applying back pressure on enemy rushes. He guides pucks to places and then easily beats his checkers in th,e chase to repossess them. There are so many skills required of NHLers in place and if he stops relying on perimeter shot chances, and he has to build a better feel of hockey sense when the attack area he is head is crowded with defenders. Has a strong North-South game that will only improve as his quick and precise passes do. He projects as a two-way physical scoring checker that might develop into a top six player in time.
