Good sized left defender who a good skater with a nice stride and closes gaps, wins puck races and has noticeable tools but hasn't shown adequate consistency to show NHL interest as a player worth spending. top three round draft pick on and waiting for his North American arrival. In the 2020-21 World Junior he did a powerful skating stride, and an ability to stay between and his own goal defensively. His times the Russian team's power play QB displayed some nice thinking on sending shots to the front for deflections but little else when at the top of the umbrella on the power play. His zone exits were not clean, and he is not the smoothest carrier, fumbling pucks and off target outlets. Expect an NHL team with an extra pick to possibly invest in him last in the draft.
