Chicago-area centre who played for the Chicago Mission and on to Youngstown Phantoms who plays a strong two-way game, managing the puck and growing his offensive game before eventually joining Michigan State University. Displays good vision and poise, and can change passes and possession, handling extentions, and then find an open seam to be able to take the shot in the look. He is a powerful skater, and continues to improve. Fetches and pulls pucks off the wall and disguises his intentions, setting up defenders to think where he is driving, and then pulls the puck back to proceed with his true intention. At six foot, he survives and dishes contact and isn’t ever overwhelmed against bigger players. A good skater, but isn’t a high speed blazer. He goes east to west well but elevated speed in his carries are what determines his high water mark as a pro player. Right now the he doesn’t display high pace on the attack, but he seems faster when in his defensive duties and stickwork are defending. You want to see him play at a higher pace, generate more touches, and become more physically effective. It is my hope that he will add more skill and athleticism, and build to his puck-handling and skating stride.
