Third year eligible OHL puck rushing defenseman past seasons of injuries are behind him and he has turned into the most productive offensive rearguard on the Oil Kings and possibly the entire Dub. At Christmas, he was a point per game pace. His feet let him excel in defensive engagements and the pace at which he engages in his own end. This is a kid who has always had to earn his ice time and first established his defensive game with his non-stop motor. He will stand up defenders at the blue. His instincts propel his suffocating gap control, high hockey awareness and highly aggressive edginess and competitiveness. Reliable, a devasting hitter, and always positionally sound, and that lead to amazing growth on the offensive side. He has added huge impact in the thrid zone, the offensive one where his dynamic skating and smarts are on display in so many zone entires, and lead to him making a lightning cross-over to extnd the play because feet and hands extend plays. He doesn’t necessarily go looking for options as he wants that chance to finish the play, with a goal. He is mean, competitive and one of the best defnders in the class, at both ends. He is committed to the University of North Dakota.
