Elton Hermansson is more of a long term developmental project who displays high skill level with Modo. A high end puck handler who finds the soft spots and whose passing and hockey vision stands out, along with he ability to handle pucks and beat pressure on zone entires. Reads the ice well offensively and keeps involved defensively. There is expectation his skating style will adjust to one that is less upright, his game gets more physicality, and his managing of pucks develops to where he reads developing plays with more alacrity. He fares well in the middle zone play pushing back defenders in his carrys and works the boards and the forecheck. Plays the bumper on the power play, and can be a dynamic attacker with his one touch pass and his one time shot. Most assuredly a team will have to feel encouraged he can develop into more than simply a third line role as a pro. He will be bunched up on draft boards where many other forward options will be considered due to the fact his rivals will have more advanced feet, more efficient touches, physicality, and are less perimeter players who NHL teams may also consider as top six projected options, but none will have the offensive upside that the Hermansson has shown in many glimpses.
