I saw him while he was playing in Texas, and penciled him in as a early sleeper on my lists before he emerged as the USA’s on-ice leader at the August Ivan Hlinka-Gretzky Tournament. I will start with what he presnetly is not: He doesn’t possess an offensive high ceiling and overall, he is on a longer runway in his development. He is the best pinpoint transition passer. but IS one of the Dub’s best retrieval defensemen. He has quick feet and excellent lateral movement and such a large frame and is tough to content with. He is an excellent middle zone mailman, with his deking and skating. Already an elite defender who defends against rushes with a great stick, using his mobility and size to clase gaps on defenders.
