High motoring Swedish centre and ranks as one of Sweden’s most effective defensive players, using his body in contact and along the boards. Strong in the circles, there is some promise that his burgeoning offensive skills and playmaking ability will become a consistent part of his shifts. Calm when in possession, he can dangle in traffic and set up his linemates. Excellent in transition and capable in one on one puck battles. He intercepts passes, and attempts quick transfers. Able to go wide and beat defenders back inside. He bounces off defenders and his edgework helps gain enough space to find a passing option. His role is dependant upon his ability to win in tight spaces, use his edging with sharp turns and quick movement to extend plays. He really is good in small area playmaking and in the cycle, and is a threat in the attack. You would like to see more offensive reads and plays driving from him, and maybe as his adds more strength, there will be less motor stall when he has puck control in the offensive end. Nonetheless he plays a very mature game and looks like a good late first round option. Projects as bottom six centre at this juncture.
