Every draft seems to have surprise risers who cement their early selection in their final draft year by standing out at their position, and the 2026 class is no exception as this Latvian kid pretty much stands out as a fearless physical defensive stalwart whose large staure and well-balanced pins let his handle duties in his end against opponent with relish and confidence. His development is far from over, and there are indications that his offensive game will continue on an upward spiral.
