Ottawa native is a longer term development project who can find open ice but needs to drive play if he intends to make the NHL his chosen career. He displays the makings of a quick reception, quick relay shot pass. Not shy in contact, he throws hits, reverse hits and establishes contact from the pivot, but needs more play driving impetus. Not a driver at this stage, but a glue guy who knows his role to support play with good details, agitation, and getting open on the offense.Committed to Providence College, where he will work to develop from a complementary scorer to a kid who can separate on the attack, driving play and gain off puck awareness. Long term developmental player who hasn’t yet defined his role asa future NHLer.
