Super Bowl 57 Betting Odds
Now that Super Bowl LVI is in the books, it's time to start looking to next season.
The 2022-23 campaign doesn't officially kick off until September, and the odds will change with free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft, but checking out the betting market gives bettors an understanding of who should be the favorites for Super Bowl LVII in on Feb. 12, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona.
Let's take a look at the full 2022 Super Bowl 57 odds — via FanDuel Sportsbook (as of Feb. 14, 2022) — broken down into tiers.
The Favorites
Team | Odds |
Kansas City Chiefs | +700 |
Buffalo Bills | +700 |
Los Angeles Rams | +1200 |
Dallas Cowboys | +1200 |
Green Bay Packers | +1300 |
The Rams have a lot of decisions to make this offseason that could impact their chances of repeating as NFL champs.
Beyond the retirement decisions of head coach Sean McVay, future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Donald and left tackle Andrew Whitworth, the Rams are projected to be $14 million over the salary cap.
They will have to back the Brink's truck up for Matthew Stafford and potentially Cooper Kupp and Donald while deciding what to do with free agents to-be Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller. They'll have to do that all without a first-rounder, too.
Of course, the Chiefs, Bills, and Cowboys will not be going anywhere, either, but the Packers have the most uncertainty of the teams inside the top five. These odds tell us that the oddsmakers believe that Aaron Rodgers will return, but if you take a look at the teams behind the Packers, they just so happen to be some of the rumored landing spots if Rodgers were to leave Green Bay.
The Next Teams Up
Team | Odds |
San Francisco 49ers | +1500 |
Cincinnati Bengals | +2100 |
Baltimore Ravens | +2100 |
Denver Broncos | +2200 |
Obviously, the Bengals earned some respect by just making the Super Bowl, but if they do not address their offensive line, they have no chance of making another Super Bowl run. Including the postseason, Joe Burrow was sacked 70 times, and he was damn near knocked out of the Super Bowl because of a late-game injury.
The 49ers and Ravens have Super Bowl-caliber rosters, but the simple question is can their young quarterbacks get the job done? That is especially true in San Francisco with Jimmy Garoppolo set to be traded before the new league year starts in March, and with Trey Lance looking "meh" in his limited playing time.
The Broncos are the franchise that really stands out in this tier. Clearly, the sportsbooks think Denver will be in the market for a franchise quarterback, whether that be Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, or Russell Wilson.
The One-Piece Away Teams
Team | Odds |
Tennessee Titans | +2400 |
Los Angeles Chargers | +2400 |
Arizona Cardinals | +2400 |
Cleveland Browns | +2400 |
Indianapolis Colts | +2400 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | +2600 |
With reports that Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals hate each other, none of these teams have a concrete plan at quarterback this season. All six of these teams can make a Bengals-like run in 2022, but they need to add something.
The Chargers and possibly the Cardinals are set at quarterback, but for the Browns, Titans, Colts, and Buccaneers, that piece is finding a new quarterback.
So You're Telling Me There's A Chance?
Team | Odds |
New England Patriots | +2800 |
New Orleans Saints | +3000 |
Philadelphia Eagles | +3300 |
Washington Commanders | +3300 |
Minnesota Vikings | +3300 |
Seattle Seahawks | +3300 |
There is always a chance the Eagles, Saints, or Commanders grab a quarterback that makes them infinitely improved, but the odds are clearly slim.
The Seahawks were once a great team, but with the uncertainty surrounding Russell Wilson, and with how poorly this past season went, Seattle's window is all but officially closed.
There Is Always Next Year
Team | Odds |
Carolina Panthers | +3600 |
Miami Dolphins | +3600 |
Las Vegas Raiders | +5500 |
Atlanta Falcons | +6000 |
Pittsburgh Steelers | +7000 |
Chicago Bears | +7500 |
There are some decent teams in this bunch, but unless something drastically changes, please do not bet on any of these teams.
Who Are We Drafting With The First Pick In 2023?
Team | Odds |
Detroit Lions | +10000 |
New York Giants | +10000 |
Jacksonville Jaguars | +12000 |
New York Jets | +15000 |
Houston Texans | +18000 |
You deserve jail time if you put any of your hard-earned money on any of these teams to win anything.
