Washington Football Team at Philadelphia Eagles: 4 Best Prop, Team Bets

With the Washington Football Team dealing with a massive COVID-19 outbreak, their tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles was pushed to tonight.

Despite the delay, WFT is still without plenty of starters Tuesday — including both Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen, which means Garrett Gilbert is in line to start in this NFC East showdown.

That should mean an easy win for Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, right? Well, check out our three favorite prop bets and spread bet below to find out.

FanDuel: Jalen Hurts Over 1.5 Touchdown Passes (+144)

Jalen Hurts' first season as the full-time starter for the Eagles has not gone particularly well. After starting the season hot, the Eagles and Hurts have significantly cooled off, and Hurts is starting to look like he won't be the guy in Philadelphia.

Now, while Hurts has not thrown a touchdown pass in the last two weeks, he had three rushing touchdowns in Week 11, and Hurts is now up to eight rushing touchdowns on the season. So to say that Hurts has been dreadful would be just wrong, but at the same time, he is not very good. Luckily, the Washington Football Team is the worst defense against the pass in the NFL.

On the season, Washington is 25th in opponents' pass completion percentage (67%), 27th in yards per pass (7.1), and 30th in opponents' passing yards per game (259.1). Washington will also be getting back Montez Sweat and Jonathan Allen, so that front seven that is in the top 10 across the board against the rush will be as close to full strength as they can get. This will force the Eagles to rely on Hurts to make a couple of throws in this game.

At +144 odds, there is some real value with this prop.

Barstool: Washington Football Team Under 16.5 Team Points (-121)

The Washington Football Team is already a fairly average offense in the NFL, but with this COVID outbreak which caused this game to be moved to Tonight, the Football Team is in some big trouble. Tonight, they will be without Curtis Samuel, J.D. McKissic, Taylor Heinicke, Kyle Allen, and Brandon Scherff. Instead of Allen or Heinicke at quarterback, the Football Team will turn to Garret Gilbert. In other words, they are screwed.

Now, the Browns were without the majority of their production on both sides of the ball last night, and they almost took down the Raiders, but they also only scored 14 total points.

The Football Team only scores 20.5 points per game, and they do not do much of anything on the ground or through the air. Over their last three games, the Football Team is averaging 18 points per game, and that is with the majority of the starters not having Covid.

DraftKings Touchdown Scorer Of The Night: DeVonta Smith (+165)

The Heisman Trophy winner has been exactly what was promised when he was drafted by the Eagles. Smith has 50 receptions for 701 yards and four touchdowns so far in his rookie season, and that is with inconsistent quarterback play.

Smith has only scored four touchdowns this season, and his last came against Denver during Week 10, and he had two touchdowns in that game. I already said it earlier, but the Football Team's defense against the pass is pretty terrible, and with Troy Apke and Kendall Fuller out with Covid, the secondary is even weaker tonight.

Washington's front seven has been rock solid this season, even without Chase Young. Now that their two-best defensive lineman are activated off the Covid list for this game, the Eagles would be smart to stay away from the run, and beat the Football Team down the field. If there is anyone in this receiver room for the Eagles that can beat a depleted secondary deep, it is Smith.

FanDuel Best Bet: Under 41 (-110)

This game does not exist according to Bovada, so our good friends at FanDuel get the nod for the best bet of the night.

The Eagles are 11th in scoring this season, but nothing about this offense scares me enough to think they will be the team to push the total over the number. The feeling is mutual with the Washington Football Team, but even more so with all of their Covid-positive players that will miss tonight's game.

The total has gone under in seven of the last eight games for the Football Team, and the question now comes, do they have enough to potentially push this over? Even if the Eagles put up 30+ points tonight, which they are capable of doing, the Football Team is in for a long night.

There is just too much production out for the Football Team for them to score consistently in this game.
