Ever since Tom Brady was drafted with the No. 199 pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, every team has looked for the "next Tom Brady."
After nearly 21 years, has the baby GOAT finally emerged?
According to Miami Dolphins quarterback — and former Alabama passer — Tua Tagovailoa he has, and his name is Mac Jones, who just so happens to be Tua's former backup in Tuscaloosa.
But that's not all!
Tua believes that Jones has a strength that Brady sadly doesn't: athleticism.
In a Yahoo Sports podcast with Eric Edholm, Tagovailoa said Jones is "a sly kind of athletic person. He’s a more mobile Tom Brady. He’s very athletic, very smart too.”
Tagovailoa added that an NFL team would be "very lucky" to have him.
The hype train surrounding Jones has started to take off recently as the Heisman finalist has been rumored as a top-10 pick who could go as high as No. 8 in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith added fuel to the fire by recently saying that Jones is the superior quarterback to Tagovailoa. Which shouldn't surprise anyone because Smith won a Heisman with Jones as his quarterback.
