Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Philadelphia Eagles: 3 Best 'Thursday Night Football' Prop Bets

It is once again Thursday so that means it is time for some "Thursday Night Football." This week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles.

The Buccaneers enter the game tonight as a 6.5-point favorite and look to build off of their 4-1 start to the season while the Eagles will try and keep the momentum going from last week's miraculous three-point victory over the Panthers.

As I do every week, we will be discussing the three best props from three of the major sportsbooks in the country as well as the best overall bet of the night. Your only job is to watch some football and gamble on it responsibly.

FanDuel: Ronald Jones OVER 18.5 Rushing yards

Ronald Jones' snap count has gone down, but his production is only getting better. He has hit this number in the last two games and has gone over the total three times this season.

Jones has practically been cut out of the Buccaneers' starting rotation thanks to the re-emergence of Leonard Fournette but there is a trend of backup running backs getting a lot more touches on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game on four days rest, so they will probably be looking to split reps in the backfield to keep everyone fresh.

If this game enters blow-out status, or if the Buccaneers are looking to run some clock, expect Jones to get more touches tonight and go over his rushing total.

Barstool: Antonio Brown OVER 5.5 Receptions +115

In the two games the Buccaneers have played since Rob Gronkowski went down with an injury, Antonio Brown has combined for 19 targets with 14 receptions. His snap count has also increased and based on the eye test, it appears that Brown is becoming a favorite target for Tom Brady.

With Gronk out again, there is no reason to think that Brown's targets will drop. It is also worth mentioning that although the Eagles' pass defense numbers look good this season, they have only played one real threat to move the ball through the air. When the Eagles played the Cowboys on "Monday Night Football" a couple of weeks ago, Dak Prescott completed 80% of his passes for three touchdowns.

All the Buccaneers need to do is play their game and this one should be easy. Brown is once again looking like a top-tier receiver in this league and his numbers back that up.

DraftKings: Zach Ertz Anytime Touchdown Scorer +200

The DraftKings Sportsbook touchdown scorer of the night goes to Zach Ertz for three reasons. First, with Dallas Goedert out, Ertz has seen his targets and production go up. Second, Tampa Bay has one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. And lastly, because I like the odds.

Touchdown scorers are always the most tricky props out there. It all depends on how the game plan is being executed. If the Eagles have an off night, who knows what the adjustments will be? However, with the Tampa Bay defense being the unanimous No. 1 defense against the run, expect Jalen Hurts and the Eagles to be passing the ball all over a weak secondary. This gives us more opportunity for Philadelphia to get in the red zone, and Ertz will be a big target down there.

Bovada: Best Bet: Buccaneers -6.5

The Buccaneers are just too talented for the Eagles to handle. The passing game with Brady is still elite, they have one of the best receiving rooms in the NFL, and the defense against the run is the best we have seen in a long time.

Hurts has clearly taken steps as a passer this season, but the Buccaneers should be able to slow down the Eagles' offense feast-or-famine offense.

Tampa Bay throttled Miami 45-17 while the Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak with a 21-18 win over Carolina. Both teams have momentum, but Tampa Bay has the advantage.
