Saints to Start Drew Brees at QB Against Chiefs

The New Orleans Saints are getting their future Hall of Fame quarterback back for their playoff run.

Drew Brees will return to the Saints' starting lineup Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs after missing four games due to multiple broken ribs and a fractured lung, according to ESPN.

The Saints were expected to take a conservative approach with their 41-year-old passer, but as Adam Schefter mentioned, the franchise thinks that he is fully healthy and ready to start against the defending Super Bowl champions.

Brees originally suffered multiple rib fractures in Week 9 against the Buccaneers and then suffered more rib fractures and a punctured lung against the 49ers the next week.

With Brees out, the Saints went 3-1 with Taysom Hill under center, with their lone loss coming against the Eagles last week.

It won't be an easy return to the gridiron for Brees.

The Saints will play two games in six days as they're scheduled to play the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas after clashing with the Chiefs this week.

The Saints are currently 10-3 and are the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
