It didn't take long for Le'Veon Bell to find a new home.
While Twitter was sleeping: Former Jets’ RB Le’Veon Bell is signing a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, a league source tells ESPN. Bell wanted to win a Super Bowl and believes Kansas City is the place to go to try to do it.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 15, 2020
Bell immediately joins a loaded Kansas City backfield that features first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire along with Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson. Damien Williams opted-out prior to the season.
In just 17 games with the Jets, Bell ran for 863 yards and three touchdowns, although a paltry 74 of those yards came this season.
The terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Bell confirmed the news on Twitter.
Prior to signing a four-year, $52.5 million deal with the Jets in 2019, the 28-year-old running back made the All-Pro team three times with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
