Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals: 3 Best 'Thursday Night Football' Prop Bets

Week 8 of the NFL season kicks off tonight with an unreal Thursday night matchup. The Green Bay Packers will travel to Arizona to take on the lone-undefeated team in the NFL, the Cardinals. As always, we will be giving out the three best props of the night as well as the best bet of the night.

The Packers will be shorthanded in this game due to a COVID outbreak that will sideline receivers Davante Adams and Allen Lazard. The Cardinals also got tough news this week when it was announced that J.J. Watt will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. The Cardinals are 7-0 and the Packers are 6-1 so not only is this a great matchup, but it may have serious playoff implications in the NFC.

Below, we've found our four favorite bets — including the spread.

FanDuel: Aaron Jones OVER 100.5 Rushing and Receiving yards (-106)

Not only are the Packers without their best offensive weapon tonight, but they are also on a short week. Rodgers is going to have to get creative against a feisty Cardinals defense, so expect the Pack to feature their star running back.

Over the last six games, Jones has hauled in 29 passes for 337 yards and five touchdowns. His rushing numbers are equally as impressive over that stretch as he is averaging 70 yards rushing over the last six games. The Cardinals' front-seven suffered a big loss with Watt going down for the season, and they were already giving up over five yards per tote.

Jones should be fresh after rushing just six times last week, and he should be the focal point of the offense.

Barstool: Aaron Rodgers UNDER 35.5 Pass Attempts (+105)

Rodgers has gone under this total twice this season and he'll be without his top two targets.

The Cardinals' pass defense has been very solid this season as they rank third in passing yards allowed per game (201) and passing yards allowed per attempt (6.0).

The door is open for Jones and A.J. Dillon to have a big day against a weaker front seven. I do not expect the Packers to live-or-die with Rodgers tonight, so he will not go over this number unless Green Bay trails early.

DraftKings: James Conner Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+100)

James Conner has had no problem finding the endzone. In 33 career starts, he has 28 touchdowns on the ground and four more in the receiving game. In 2018, Conner scored 12 touchdowns for the Steelers. And with six touchdowns in just seven games this season, Conner is on pace to match his career-best from 2018.

When picking a running back to score, we are hoping that the Cardinals can get the ball into the red zone. If the Cardinals can consistently get the ball inside the 20-yard line, Conner has an excellent chance to score. The Packers are ranked 30th in the NFL in opponents' red zone scoring percentage (79%) and they are giving up 2.7 touchdowns per game overall.

The Cardinals offense has had no problem getting into the red zone and scoring. Arizona is ranked seventh in red zone scoring percentage (69%) and they are rushing for 1.3 touchdowns per game, which is fourth-best in the NFL.

Conner should see a lot of touches tonight, and that gives us an excellent chance at him finding the endzone

Bovada: Best Bet: Packers +6.5

We are talking about Rodgers being almost a touchdown underdog? I understand that Adams is a game-changer, but the Cardinals are not 100% healthy either. Watt is lost for the season and DeAndre Hopkins will be hampered by a hamstring injury.

Both teams are 6-1 ATS this season and the Packers have covered in six straight while the Cardinals are 5-0 ATS in their last five. Neither the Packers nor Cardinals have an edge tonight as a team, but one team has the edge in having Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback. Give me the Packers tonight, this number is too large for me to bet against.

Buying the half point to make this a +7 spread (-130) may be worth it. You never want to be on the wrong side of the hook.
