Blockbuster deal with massive ramifications for years to come.
The 49ers paid a hefty price to presumably draft one of the rookie quarterbacks in this year's draft. That could be either Zach Wilson, Justin Fields or Trey Lance.
What does that mean for Jimmy Garoppolo?
49ers now square in the QB mix, but are holding on to Jimmy Garoppolo and have no plans to trade him, per sources.

As nice as that sounds, there are plenty of quarterback-needy teams who could trade for the handsome passer, including his former team the New England Patriots.
But the 49ers have a playoff-caliber roster, so would 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan trust that to a rookie? It remains to be seen.
