Corrigan's Gambling Corner: Conference Tournaments Best Bets: +595 Parlay Odds - March 9, 2022

Welcome back to the gambling corner. We are back with some best bets for another wonderful night on the college hoops.

This is always one of my favorite days of the year. After a couple of days of bad slates, we are blessed with a full day of college basketball. Starting at noon today, I will do nothing but watch, enjoy, and gamble on some hoops. The matchups are not great, but throw out the record books during the conference tournaments.

Some teams have already punched their ticket to March Madness, and a few more teams will clinch tournament spots tonight.

We would love you to tail our picks, but we would especially love you to make a lot of money. As a sign of courtesy, we included the parlay odds for all three of our picks. We just ask that you always remember to gamble responsibly.

Here are tonight's plays.

Oregon State Beavers vs. Oregon Ducks

Practically a year ago today, Oregon State was set to start the greatest journey in my college basketball gambling experience. Coming into the 2020 Pac-12 tournament as 40/1 underdogs to win the Pac-12, and secure a tournament spot, no one really gave them a chance, except for me (and a lot of others). The Beavers defied all odds, won the Pac-12, and made a run to the elite 8.

Flash-forward to today and Oregon State only won three games in the regular season, and their last win came in December. Oregon State is also not a good team to bet on, as they only covered nine times in their 30 games this season, and they have only covered four times in their last 14 games. On the other side of the state of Oregon, the Ducks are certainly a much better team, but only being 11-20 ATS this season scares me.

In fact, Oregon State is 1-1 ATs this season when playing Oregon, and they have actually played some decent basketball heading into the Pac-12 tournament. The Beavers went 2-1 ATS in their last three, and while they didn't win any of those games, their average margin of defeat was only seven points, which is an improvement over their season average of -9.7.

I do not feel great about betting on a team that has not won a basketball game in the year 2022, especially with Oregon State's slew of injuries, but the Beavs have been sticking around in games lately, and I think they will do the same today in a losing effort.

Pick: Oregon State +9.5 (-110)

Ole Miss Rebels vs. Missouri Tigers

If you are a lifelong gambler like I am, you have a list of teams that are on your "do not bet" list. For me, Missouri basketball is near the top of that list. From 2018 on, I am 0-8-2 ATS when betting on Missouri basketball, and I now hate them more than I hate any team in any sport.

However, I am not here to fade Missouri, although I certainly would like to. Today, we are going to saunter on over to the total.

Neither Ole Miss nor Missouri is good at anything, especially on offense, but there is a lot of value on the over in this game. The total has gone over in seven of the last eight for Ole Miss, and between these two teams, the over has cashed in 12 of the last 15 games. Both teams have a 16-15 record against the over this season, and in their two matchups this season, they have gone over this total both times.

Pick: Over 130.5 (-110)

Nebraska Cornhuskers at Northwestern Wildcats

Nebraska might be the hottest team in the nation heading into their conference tournament. The Cornhuskers come into these game winners of three-straight road games, including wins against Ohio State, and Wisconsin. They are also 4-0 ATS in their last four, and they are putting up 81.6 points per game over their last three.

I love the fact that Nebraska is getting 4.5 points tonight, but it is for a good reason. Northwestern is not a great team, but they are very solid on offense. The Wildcats are putting up 73.2 points per game, and they make 26.3 shots per game, which is ranked 77th in the country.

Northwestern is only 13-14-1 ATS this season, but they have covered both times against Nebraska. However, Northwestern doesn't do it for me, and I implore you to find a hotter team than Nebraska right now. If I am getting more than a possession on the spread with the hottest team in the country, I am absolutely going to ride that.

Win or lose, riding with the Cornhuskers is the right play.

Pick: Nebraska +4.5 (-110)
