Corrigan's Gambling Corner: 3 College Basketball Best Bets: +608 Parlay Odds - March 1, 2022

Welcome back to the gambling corner. We are back with some best bets for another wonderful night on the college hoops.

It is the last Super Tuesday of the regular season, and while there are not a lot of games tonight, there are some awesome matchups. For us East Coast, Beast Coast folks, it is going to be a long night as we have two excellent games that tip-off later in the evening. I like to sleep, but gambling on college basketball never sleeps.

We would love you to tail our picks, but we would especially love you to make a lot of money. As a sign of courtesy, we included the parlay odds for all three of our picks. We just ask that you always remember to gamble responsibly.

Here are tonight's plays.

Nebraska Cornhuskers at Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State is coming off a crushing loss to Maryland over the weekend, and Nebraska is fresh off a 23-point victory over Penn State. However, let's not act like Nebraska is good enough to play with the Buckeyes. Nebraska has only won once on the road this season, and they have only covered four times away from their home court.

While the Buckeyes are astronomically better than Nebraska, they are giving out 15 points, and I never feel comfortable taking that high of a spread in conference play. Nebraska has only won twice in their last 16 games, but they are 15-14 ATS this season, and they have covered in two-straight games.

The Cornhuskers play with one of the fastest paces of play (13th), and they are ranked 96th in points per game (73.2). The total has gone over in four of the last five for Nebraska and 18 times in their 29 games this season. However, this game is dictated by Ohio State's pace of play. They are ranked 302nd in pace of play and the total has gone under in five of their last seven.

The total has also gone under in seven of the last nine between these two teams, and with a fairly large number, I like the under a lot in this game. While the Cornhuskers are scoring 77 points per game over their last five, Ohio State only allows teams to shoot 41.4% from the field.

Pick: Under 151 (-110)

Purdue Boilermakers at Wisconsin Badgers

This is a GINORMOUS matchup in the Big Ten. Currently, Wisconsin sits at the top of the conference with a 14-4 record in conference play while Purdue is right behind them at 13-5. The Badgers won the first game of the season at Purdue, so a win tonight would all but clinch the Big Ten regular-season crown.

Wisconsin is not a great offensive team, but they can, and will get hot. Over their last four games, in which they won all of them, they are putting up 71.2 points per game while holding teams to just 65 points per night. While Wisconsin is a deep team, they rely heavily on Johnny Davis on offense, and he put up 37 points against Purdue earlier in the season. In most cases, relying on one player to carry the offense is not a good sign, but Davis is averaging 21.5 points per game on 50% shooting from the field over the last four games.

Having to outscore a Purdue offense that ranks sixth in scoring, eighth in scoring margin, and third in effective field goal percentage, shooting percentage, and shooting efficiency certainly is not an easy task, but the Badgers have one of the best defenses in the Big Ten.

Purdue has covered in seven of the last 10 against Wisconsin, but they are 3-5-1 ATS on the road this season, and they are only putting up 74.1 points on the road, and they have been held to 68, 65 (twice), and 58 on the road.

The atmosphere is going to be incredible, and with the Badgers on their homecourt, I am rolling with Wisconsin.

Pick: Wisconsin +3 (-106)

Arizona Wildcats at USC Trojans

Arizona is certainly one of the top teams in the country, and you can make a legit argument that they could be the best team this season. However, they will travel to USC tonight to take on a Trojans team that has won six games in a row.

While USC has been playing some good basketball lately, they are only 14-15 ATS this season, and they have covered only three times in their last 10 games. For the Wildcats, they have only covered once in their last 10 against USC, but Arizona is also 7-3-1 ATS on the road this season and they have won 14 of their last 16 games.

During USC's six-game winning streak, they took down UCLA, but close games against Pacific, Oregon State, and Washington State are certainly concerning. The spread has fallen a full point from the time that I woke up to now, and I love the number I was able to get. Arizona fell to a Colorado team that they had no business losing to last time out, and while USC has been great this season, I like the Wildcats in a big bounce-back spot on the road tonight.

Pick: Arizona -4.5 (-110)
