Corrigan's Gambling Corner: 3 College Basketball Best Bets: +621 Parlay Odds - Feb. 22, 2022

Welcome back to the gambling corner. We are back with some best bets for another wonderful night on the college hoops.

It is Super Tuesday, but there are not a lot of great matchups. However, the quality of play will never deter me from picking out some winners. Today, I have found the three best bets of the night on the hardwood. All you need to do is sit back, relax, place some bets, and watch some hoops.

We would love you to tail our picks, but we would especially love you to make a lot of money. As a sign of courtesy, we included the parlay odds for all three of our picks. We just ask that you always remember to gamble responsibly.

Here are tonight's plays.

Michigan State Spartans at Iowa Hawkeyes

It is not a great time for Michigan State to start its downward spiral, but that is the exact position they are in right now. They have lost four of their last five, and they have only covered once in their last six games. While they are 5-3 ATS on the road this season, Iowa is 17-3 SU in their last 20 home games.

Although Iowa just lost to Michigan, the Hawkeyes have won four of their last five, and they are scoring 87.7 points per game at home this season. The offense has been clicking all year for Iowa, and with the fifth-ranked adjusted offensive efficiency according to KenPom, Iowa can blow out any team, especially a solid Michigan State team.

Michigan State is ranked 29th in opponents' effective field goal percentage and opponents' shooting percentage. So if they can get some stops, and force Iowa into a defensive battle, you are getting a lot of points to play with if you are backing the Spartans, which is exactly what we are going to do.

The things that Iowa is good at (basically just shooting and scoring) are easily counter-able, especially with a strong defense. I know that these two teams are trending in opposite directions, but I love the number of points Michigan State is getting tonight.

Pick: Michigan State +6 (-102)

Arkansas Razorbacks at Florida Gators

Florida just picked up their biggest win of the season when they took down Auburn over the weekend. However, the Gators are way too inconsistent. Having wins against Auburn and Ohio State on your resume is impressive, but losses to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and others are just as damaging as their quality wins are good.

Meanwhile, The Hogs have won 11 of their last 12, and they are 8-0 ATS in their last eight. They are also 5-0 ATS in their last five road games, but Arkansas is 2-7 ATS in their last nine against Florida, and they have lost 10 straight road games against Florida.

This is a perfect letdown spot for Florida coming off an emotional upset to lay an egg against a surging Arkansas team. Although Florida's defense only allows 64 points per game, The Razorbacks are ranked 23rd in scoring, 24th in average scoring margin, and 51st in made field goals per game. Arkansas is not a very effective shooting team, but at the end of the day, it is about how much you score, not how you look while doing it.

Florida is just not a great team, and coming off a big-time win, they will fold against one of the hottest teams in the country.

Pick: Arkansas -1 (-110)

Villanova Wildcats at UConn Huskies

Get prepared for a snoozefest.

Both Villanova and UConn are the two slowest teams in the Big East. The Wildcats are ranked 334th in pace of play, and while UConn is ranked 106th in pace of play, their defense is going to be the key in this game. The Huskies' defense is ranked 48th in scoring, 13th in effective field goal percentage, 4th in two-point shooting percentage, 18th in shooting percentage, and 12th in shooting efficiency.

While Villanova is efficient on offense, things can go south quickly if they have a bad shooting night. Luckily for them, UConn is not great at defending the three-point line, as they allow teams to shoot 34% from deep.

Both teams are on an overs run, but the total has gone under in four of the last five meetings between these two. Based on the styles of play, I am leaning towards the under, especially at the number I got it at this morning.

Pick: Under 137 (-110)
