Corrigan's Gambling Corner: 3 College Basketball Best Bets: +584 Parlay Odds - Feb. 21, 2022

Welcome back to the gambling corner. We are back with some best bets for another wonderful night on the college hoops.

The NBA will not be back until Thursday, and tonight's slate in college basketball is not great, but there is always some great value on the board. It is hard to believe that we are under a month away until we are watching the tournament all day. Until then, let's finish out the college basketball regular season strong with some can't-miss best bets.

We would love you to tail our picks, but we would especially love you to make a lot of money. As a sign of courtesy, we included the parlay odds for all three of our picks. We just ask that you always remember to gamble responsibly.

Here are tonight's plays.

Indiana Hoosiers at Ohio State Buckeyes

For the season, Indiana is 13-12 ATS. The problem is, they are 1-7 ATS on the road, and they are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 at Ohio State. On the other side, the Buckeyes are 6-2 ATS in their last eight, and they are 11-1 SU at home, with a 7-5 record ATS on their home court.

While Ohio State does not have a great offense, they are very efficient on the offensive side of the court. Ohio State is ranked 15th in effective field goal percentage, 19th in shooting percentage, and 18th in shooting efficiency. However, Indiana's defense is one of the best in the nation. Their defense is ranked 8th in effective field goal percentage, 5th in shooting percentage, 11th in shooting efficiency, and they only allow 64.2 points per game.

Although the Buckeyes are very hard to beat at home, Iowa came into Columbus and whooped up on the Buckeyes on both sides of the court. Obviously, with Iowa being one of the best offenses in the country, Ohio State was just overwhelmed on defense and started pressing towards the end. I do not see Indiana replicating that same performance.

Ohio State is beating teams by an average of 13.3 points on their court this season, and although this spread is a touch higher than I would like it, I am rolling with Ohio State.

Pick: Ohio State -6.5 (-110)

Penn State Nittany Lions at Maryland Terrapins

Pound-for-pound, Penn State has not been a very good basketball team this season, but they have put together a couple of nice performances against some top teams in the Big Ten, including a big home victory over Michigan State last week.

On the season, Penn State is ranked 290th in scoring, and they play at the 351st fastest pace of play in the country, which if you can't figure out, is very slow. Maryland is ranked 210th in pace of play, and while they are slightly better on offense, their defense is significantly worse. The Terrapins' defense is ranked 209th in scoring, 160th in effective field goal percentage, and 136th in shooting efficiency.

While Penn State has only won once on the road this season, they have covered in five of their last six, and four of their last five against Maryland. Neither team has been great to bet on this season, but if Penn State can dictate the pace of the game, which they have recently, they are a tough team to beat. I am going to side with the Nittany Lions in this game.

Pick: Penn State +3 (-114)

Louisville Cardinals at North Carolina Tar Heels

Lousiville finally snapped their seven-game losing streak with a home victory over Clemson, but the Tigers were without their best player, and Clemson is not a very good team, so I am not taking that win for anything.

North Carolina just lost to Pitt at home, but the Tar Heels are just the vastly superior team in this matchup. The Heels are only 8-7 ATS at home this season, but Louisville is 2-6-1 ATS on the road this season, and they have only covered three times in their last 13 games.

The Cardinals have only lost by 10+ points five times this season, and they took North Carolina to overtime in their first matchup, but North Carolina's offense will be just too much for a really bad Cardinals team to handle.

Pick: North Carolina -9.5 (-110)
