Corrigan's Gambling Corner: 3 College Basketball Best Bets: +608 Parlay Odds - Feb. 16, 2022

Welcome back to the gambling corner. We are back with some best bets for another wonderful night on the college hoops.

While Tuesday is the biggest weekday college basketball slate, there are some tremendous matchups tonight. There are also some tremendous lines out there, and that is what has me really excited for tonight. We are starting to approach the conference tournaments, and that is when college basketball gets awesome. For now, we are still trying to feel these teams out before the big dance.

We would love you to tail our picks, but we would especially love you to make a lot of money. As a sign of courtesy, we included the parlay odds for all three of our picks. We just ask that you always remember to gamble responsibly.

Here are tonight's winners.

Baylor Bears at Texas Tech Red Raiders

The Red Raiders recently lost to a much worse team in Oklahoma, but do not be fooled, Texas Tech is legit.

On the season, Texas Tech's defense is ranked 14th in scoring, 10th in shooting percentage, and they allow the fourth-fewest made field goals per game. Over their last five games, Texas Tech is only allowing 61 points per game on 42% shooting from the field. Offensively, Texas Tech is averaging 73 points per game over their last five.

Coming off the National Championship, Baylor has been as close to dominant as you can get, but injuries have caused a lot of problems for the Bears. LJ Cryer was originally supposed to miss all of February with a foot injury, but his status has been upgraded to questionable for tonight. Now that Tchamwa Tchatchoua is out for the season, Baylor is going to have to get creative with their lineups.

A small ball lineup could cause problems for Texas Tech as they would have no counter for that, but if this turns into a shooting match, I like Texas Tech a lot.

The Red Raiders are 7-1 ATS in their last eight, and they have covered in seven straight home games. The Bears are a solid team ATS as they are 14-10-1 this season, but with how well Texas Tech is playing, and with the key injuries starting to pile up for Baylor, I am riding with the Red Raiders.

Pick: Texas Tech -2.5 (-110)

Vanderbilt Commodores at Auburn Tigers

Although Vanderbilt is a very "meh" team, they have been a good team to bet on recently, and they have been a good play whenever they take on Auburn. Over the last 13 matchups, Vanderbilt is 10-2-1 ATS, and they are 7-2-1 ATS in the last 10 matchups.

However, this is a different Auburn team. Although their massive winning streak was snapped against Arkansas, they responded with a beatdown of Texas A&M, and they are still considered a covering machine. They covered 15 times during their 19-game winning streak, and on the season, the Tigers are 12-1 ATS at home.

Auburn is great on both ends of the court, but the offense is what separates them from everyone else. They are ranked ninth in scoring and average scoring margin, 20th in made field goals per game, and they completely cut the paint off as they are the best blocking team in the nation.

While the Commodores have been playing some good basketball lately, they just do not have enough offense to compete with Auburn. The winning streak was going to end at some point, but that does not mean that they are not one of, if not the best team in the country.

Pick: Auburn -13.5 (-106)

Miami Hurricanes at Louisville Cardinals

Nothing is going right for Louisville this season, but that is especially true since they fired Chris Mack. The Cardinals have lost six straight games, and they are only 1-5 ATS in that span. Their struggles are not limited to these last six games, however. Over their last 14 games, they have only covered twice.

Miami has not been as good as I expected them to be this season, but they are 7-3 ATS in their last 10. Coming off a massive win against Wake Forest, the Hurricanes are still trying to battle their way back up the rankings. A couple of bad losses this season has made things complicated moving forward.

Honestly, Louisville is such a wreck right now, that I am just going to fade them every time. It also helps that Miami has been a very good team to bet on recently. The spread surprised me a little bit, but that is not because I think Miami is better than what they are, it's because Louisville is really, really, really bad right now. They are becoming an automatic fade.

Pick: Miami: -1 (-110)
