Minnesota Timberwolves Fire Coach Ryan Saunders, Hire Raptors' Chris Finch

The Timberwolves are making a change at head coach.

Minnesota fired coach Ryan Saunders, the son of longtime Timberwolves coach and executive Flip Saunders, Sunday night, according to The Athletic.

Saunders was let go after the Wolves started a league-worst 7-24 on the season.

But they won't be without a coach long.

ESPN reports that the T'Wolves, in a rare move, will hire a coach midseason as they are naming Raptors assistant coach Chris Finch as Saunders' replacement.

The Timberwolves asked permission to the Raptors on assistant coach Chris Finch and are proceeding on hiring him as head coach to replace Ryan Saunders, sources tell ESPN.
