Kristaps Porzingis Ejection Totally Screwed the Mavericks in Game 1
The Dallas Mavericks were on the verge of potentially upsetting the favored Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series when it all came crashing down.
With 9:10 remaining in the third quarter, Kristaps Porzingis picked up his second technical foul and was ejected from the game after defending his teammate — and the Mavericks' best player – Luka Doncic.

It's understandable for the referees to want to control a game that was getting chippy, but a non-violent argument is no reason to assess a second technical foul to a pivotal player in the playoffs.
Some of the best players in the NBA, past and present, didn't shy away from voicing their disgust the only way they know how: Twitter.
Man that was BOGUS AS HELL MAN!!!!! Cmon man. 🤦🏾♂️

That ejection is super soft...

...you can’t eject him Kristaps for that. Protecting the Mavs best player. That’s bad.

Even Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes tweeted about it.
That’s trash man! 🗑 #NBAPlayoffs

Porzingis' ejection was a fatal blow to the Mavericks' chances of stealing Game 1 of their series against the second-seeded Clippers. Before he was ejected in his first career postseason game, the Zinger tallied 14 points and six rebounds as the Mavs held a five-point lead.
The Mavericks ultimately lost the contest to the Clippers, 118-110.
