Hornets' LaMelo Ball Expected to Miss Rest of Season with Wrist Fracture

LaMelo Ball's stellar rookie season could be over.

The NBA Rookie of the Year favorite is expected to miss the remainder of the year with a fractured right wrist, according to ESPN.

Ball, the No. 3 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, has looked like a star in the making in his abbreviated rookie campaign. He averaged just under 15.9 points, 6.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds in just 41 games.

This is devastating to the surprisingly entertaining Hornets' playoff hopes. Charlotte is currently the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, with a one-game lead over the Indiana Pacers
