Analysis

Babbitt is one of the more complete scorers at the college level. He has the ability to score form the perimeter or play in the post. He goes to the basket strong and draws a good amount of fouls, which he capitalizes on with almost 90% hit from the free throw line. Babbitt’s liabilities are on defense where his lack of athleticism makes it tough for him to defend other small forwards. If he plays up on the ball, he gets beat off the dribble; and if he plays back, he is prone to perimeter shooters. Also, he doesn’t have the bulk to play with power forwards in the post and isn’t much of a shot blocker. Babbitt has shown the ability to take over games on the offensive end and that is what will make him a solid NBA player, but his playing time will depend on his ability to defend.
