SCOUTING REPORT
Strengths: Young is definitely one of the most prolific scorers available in the draft this year. He put the Ducks on his back last year, winning the Pac-12 Player of the Year. He can shoot the lights out from anywhere on the court, and he has the quickness and elevation to get to the rim in traffic. Forced to handle the ball for the majority of last season, Young’s passing ability has certainly improved too. His quick hands on defense are an added perk.

Weaknesses: At 6’2”, Young is both small and skinny for an NBA shooting guard. He also tends to get tunnel vision if he’s having an off night. He may spend minutes trying to get his shot back into a rhythm rather than relying on teammates. A shift to point guard in the NBA may suit him better size-wise, but his scoring mindset might give him trouble at a distributor’s position.
