SCOUTING REPORT
Strengths: Mudiay left his commitment to SMU on the table to play professional ball in China last year, and despite leaving the USA, he still turned heads. The athletically-built point guard tore apart the defenses of the CBA in 2014-2015, as Mudiay spun, jumped, and soared past defenders. His incredible shot-creating ability off the dribble makes him a lock to score at the NBA level. His facilitating is above-average, as well.

Weaknesses: The strong guard actually has a very fluid jump shot. However, consistency with that jump shot proved to be an issue in the CBA last year. If Mudiay can find a shooting rhythm and sync up his body to become a better shooter, he will easily outperform guard D’Angelo Russell, who is at number three on the overall list. Mudiay also showed some lapses in defensive fundamentals in China, but a solid NBA coach should be able to iron that out fairly quickly with a dedicated player like Mudiay.
